Promiscuous

As I was driving to the library I decided to break the silence in the car by listening to the radio. However, there was nothing good on the radio. On every station there was always a song about sex. money, and hoes.... it's ridiculous. Its seems that sex appeal is all around us: In movies, on TV, on the radio, and even in commercials.

Sometimes the songs won't even mention anything about girls, but when you watch the video there is nothing but half naked girls pouncing around doing nothing but acting promiscuous. For example, when you watch the music video of "Halo," by Beyonce, there are parts when this man is lying on top of her and she teases him by acting like she is going to kiss him, but she withdraws and ends up stroking his chin very slowly. You may think that isn't as seductive, but there is also a part where beyonce is submerged in water and she is wrapped in a thin layer of towel-like wrap. From the angle they shot her at, you can see her side veiw of her chest. This song has nothing to do with seduction and sex appeal, yet they just had to include it in the video because that's what sells.

In another example, there is a video entitled "Go to church" by ice cube. That song is suppose to be about " if your scared Go to church...for doing bad things i guess.. and the song isn't about girls what so ever. When I watched the video there was this half naked girl oogling her chest around and there was another one sticking her butt out and grinding on snoopdog. I wasn't surprised that there were half naked girls because this was ater all, a rap video. Rap music always have girls prancing around, regardless of the song because that's what the artists likes: naked girls dancing around him.

Everyone knows that there is sex appeal on television and movies, but there is sex appeals especially in commercials. For example, when selling perfumes have you noticed that the models act very sexual. Even the perfume names are sexual, such as Fantasy, Sexual Goddess, Inside, Very Sexy, and Curious. Moreover, on advertises such as Quest Link and Live Links there is a lot of obvious sex appeal there since the girls are saying they want to have a " good time" or "spice up the night." These women are seen twirling their bodies around exposing their stomach and then on the bed with their chest poping out. It seems like talking on the phone is not just talking on the phone, if you know what I mean. Not only are late night dating call networks sexual, but also come on during the day when children are awake. You'd be surprised how many kids have dirty minds.

Is America really that sex crazed? I think so. ( It is not only America, but other countries too...but I am specifically speaking of America based on my experience living here my whole life).
